One Day At A Time

Today is 28 June 2009. I put this on Facebook:

James Reesor to Scott Allen Crow: Scott, on my "One Day At A Time" song,
maybe it would be best if I did a homemade video to give you a few ideas.
I'll put it here when it is ready in a week or two. (I'm sending you the lyrics privately
today) I wrote it in 1962. Joe Wright, manager of Leroy Van Dyke at the time, took me into
Fred Foster studios to do a demo. An acetate was made at Pamper Music in Goodletsville...
and then months and years later other versions mysteriously appeared. I still believe
in the song and it would be great to have you or someone finally record it.

ONE DAY AT A TIME
by James Reesor 1962

People ev'rywhere... in this whole wide world
No matter where they live or what they do
They're never satisfied with things they've tried
Always lookin' 'round for somethin' new

A deep thinkin' man who was king of the land
Asked what does a poor man do?
I'm the reigning king, but it doesn't mean a thing
Poor man, I give my throne to you

(Bridge)
And live just... one day at a time
Live just... One day at a time
Love ev'ry hour, but forget about tomorrow
Live life one day at a time

We all make mistakes, no matter who we are
But forget your mistakes and try again
Live the life you love, ask for guidance from above
Never say "lose" when you can win

(Repeat bridge)
